Destinations for San Valentine

The internet site of CNN has published an article, Top 10 romantic escapes, that describes the ten destinations that are perfect to spend, of course, romatically on Saint Valentine's Day.
The destinations proposed, are in rigorously in order of preference (and relative "motivation"), are the following: 1°- Naples in Florida, with its beaches and sunsets; 2°- Central Park in New York, on a horse carriage; 3°- The Barbados, for who desires to be on a tropical island; 4°- Sausalito in California, to browse in the markets and alternative fashionable places to hang out; 5°- Niagara Falls in Ontario, for the atmosphere and magic, even in the wintertime; 6°- Fairhope in Alabama, a small but quaint and charming township of the deep South; 7°- Cannon Beach in Oregon, for the lovers of wild and uncontaminated nature; 8°- St. Michaels in Maryland, to breath the air of the first American colonies; 9°- La Jolla in California, with its Mediterrean flavors; 10°- Outer Banks in North Carolina, for those who want to escape from everyday life. Besides the curiousity to try the pizza (perhaps, pepperoni!) of the alla Neapolitan American style, for fun I tried to write up a list of the places that are most romantic in Italy, and this is the result, in a rigorously casual order:Venice in a gondola; Rome in a horse carriage; farm holidays in the Val d'Orcia in Tuscany; on the Via of Love in the Cinque Terre in Liguria; the Amalfi coast; a walk on the fresh snows of Cortina d'Ampezzo; browsing the shops on the Ponte Vecchio in Florence; an ice-cream cone at Mondello in Palermo; a serious espresso in Capri; a brief visit under the balcony of Romeo and Juliet in Verona, perhaps banal, but always with in tone of St. Valentine's.
