Ferretti for Hunziker

Last night Michelle Hunziker displayed the usual brilliant and designer label dresses! In fact, last night, it was the turn of stylist Alberta Ferretti. I almost forgot to mention that the cost of the golden dress made by Valentino worn by Hunziker during the opening night was of ''...290 thousand Euros (approximately 350 thousand dollars!) Decisively a an entrance made in grand style!

Visits to Paris

On the catwalks of Paris one can see the comeback to the 1940's! Diva and Divina for Dior. Thanks to the feminity for Girbaud, luxury for Valentino who is getting ready for three day party for his return to Rome! My favorite is Karl Lagerfeld! This time Riccardo Tisci has designed for Givenchy a perfect collection. Viktor and Rolf totally ...exaggerated!

Paris: the fashion phone of Giambattista Valli

Prêt-à-parler according to Giambattista Valli, refined dress creator with the passion for cellular telephones. "The idea to have a cellular telephone as a fashion accessory is fascinating for me" he stated, in fact, he was readily appointed to create the design of the Special Edition of Nokia 7373.

A Need for Scarves

A scarf expertly knotted at the neck always gives off a touch of glamour and style... that type of chic non-chalance of bon chic and bon genre that brings back a nostalgic atmosphere and always remaining present-day. Or perhaps a foulard that ties back one's hair...or perhaps ornately tied around the shoulder strap of a handbag. A splash of color even the most grey of winter days

Versace per Hunziker

Last night the second part of the Festival of Sanremo and the second stylist (however, only in order of appearance!) for Michelle Hunziker. Also this time around, marvellous dresses for the co-hostess of Swiss origins, who will wear with great class the spectacular dresses of Versace. Exceptional guests for the evening will be the re-united (sans Robbie Williams) "Take That"!

The Chameleone Look of the Stars

Being a star often to re-invent one's self often, evolutionizing one's look and aspects. These days, Keira Knightley, Hilary Duff and Jessica Simpson have picked a brunette look, however, even other stars have changed... with results that one can say for some, for better or for worst. A real diva cannot permit herself the luxury to remain static, identical and unchanging, overall, in regard to their look. It is not only the need dictated by ever-changing scripts, but also a necessity that is imposed by the show-business market: to be seen under the spotlights, one has to be a chameleone, always ready to renew their phyisque, their make-up and their hair. As of late, there are many stars that have radically change their looks, sometimes with absolutely great results, and at times, highly questionable.

Break-up between David and Vic?!

The wedded couple Beckham seems to be in full marital crisis. To reveal this is the English daily paper Daily Star who in turn cites some well-informed "friends" of the couple that between public confessions and indiscretions there continues to reign the gossip chronicles. Now it seems that the gorgeous soccer player and the ex-Spice are experiencing very difficult moments and that a separation is at the doors. Do you believe it to be true? To me it seems that the economic interests are so high that I doubt in a true break-up...but let us wait and see!

Michelle Huntziker - The opening night with Valentino

For the opening night as co-hostess of the Festival of Sanremo (the most important and the largest representation of Italian music, which I spoke about in my last article!) the Maison Valentino has picked several dresses that are decidely fantastic for Michelle Hunziker! To be pointed out that for the opening night the presence as host was the fantastic Norah Jones!

Valentino in Paris

In Paris, the stylist picks face powder tones and gets his inspirations from Marilyn Monroe. Prominently sitting in the front row seats, one can observe the likes of Kirstin Scott Thomas, Marisa Berenson, several principesses, a pair of Rothschild, in and addition to a Matteo Marzotto without his mother or girlfriend, all the fans of Valentino, who are in nature, vain but, however, appraised the forty-six outfits in whom the work of approximately fifty tailors with long hour shifts for nearly two months churned out: mauve-colored crocodile jackets, corals and jades and diamond buckles.

The Summer 2007 hair tendency

Goodbye curls. Now is the comeback of straight hair. And the password is simplicity. Allowed are the pageboy style (bob) hairstyle and ponytail. Exiled are games of volume and eccentric haircuts. For me, who (my hair is wavy prone to curly) now from five years to the present straighten my hair, no news in sight, however, why renounce to wild curls during the summer season, that are irresistibly sexy!

Sequins for make-up

Brilliant ideas with applied sequins on the eyelids used in the same manner as an eyeshadow or used to highlight the eyebrow arch or try crystals on the eyelashes alla "string bow" which will give a jolt of light to your eyes

Paper dresses

Soft or pleated draping dresswear, with games of geometric shapes and forms and lots, but lots of colors. A collection which was decisively original is that of "Paper Recycling" proposed during a fashion show in Cracovia. In which the main protagonist was the material: paper.

Europe becomes a One Size Fits All!

"Goodbye and good riddance to the size jungle!". This is how the experts of the sector greeted the provisions EN 13402, that now fixes the new standards for the sizes of dresswear apparel. The European one size fits all was rendered necessary due to the variable of the average European physique, (the Europeans are on average taller and stockier than fifty years ago), but also due to the variety of pre-existing measurement systems, that obligated the ladies to elaborate complicated calculations to find skirts and pants of their size.

Jimmy Choo: Summer 2007

Jimmy Choo, the most-loved designer of the Hollywood actresses, a star in the United States and the most-cited stylist in books and films, from the television series "Sex and the city" to "Il diavolo veste Prada" (n.d.r., "The Devil dresses Prada"), offers his Spring\Summer 2007 Collection, in the pursuit of grandeur, excessiveness, inspired by the eccentric world of Studio 54, found in modern day tones. How can I explain? Throw away your flipflops: elegance, even in the most relaxing of moments. Must this be the reason this style is liked so much? Even handbags are undergoing the enchantments of Studio 54 who find themselves decorated with metallic inserts and accessories become glittery and sparkling, mirroring the mood of the new fashion season ahead.

Winter 2007: The trends

Cowboy boots to worn strictly on top of very tight-fitting blue jeans, this year the fashion world draws out the old cowboy pants, with the addition of many leather inserts and huge belts. The year welcomes the comeback of the bodice, robbed several years from the lingerie sector, but today is a clothing item to be used day and night, the bustier does not hide anymore under shirts, but is used in a very malicious manner as a underjacket or it can light up a night matched with pants or skirts with inserts of sequins, to render the woman more sensual and at the same time, elegant. A turbine of different styles and with discoveries that border the egocentric, with designer crowns on shirts, gaudy colored stockings and fingernails that leave the bon ton, to be transformed into hands that are literal "arms of seduction". To kindle the cold season will be the color red, that will render trendy even the most simple of pants or pick this color for enhance brilliantly even the smallest of accessories or details, for examples, purses, shoes and belts

Grey hair ..... and it is ....fashion!

According to style and tendency researchers, this will become a fashion trend, in fact, it is already stylish and is a phenomenon that has been constantly on the rise in the last several years, reinforced by films like "Maria Antonietta", of Sofia Coppola. It is the trend of grey hair, from twenty to fifty years of age: a look that is in synchrony with the principles of what today is considered vogue, and that is accepting one's self for who they are, an aspiration to well-being and to serenity. Moreover, grey hair is an elegant color, reassuring, soft, delicate, honest and relaxing. The most celebrated of the silver-haired ladies is Marie Sezner, the preferred model of Christian Lacroix. I, however, am extremely skeptical in regard to this. In fact, last week I found a couple of white hairs and the first thing that came to my mind was "Let me see when I get an urgent appointment with my hairdresser!". I will remain, on a constant look out, to see if this new fashion trend will really catch on or not

The best bag: Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet carried a 18karat gold clutch bag from jewellers Bulgari. The bag is set with 3 Ancient Coins from Alexander the Great. Absolutely gorgeous. Winslet 31, is the youngest actress to be nominated five times for an Oscar, and she is getting better and better. This time she wore a Valentino dress, "not his best performance", but still a good one!

Oscar 2007

As a good Italian, I could not help but reflect on the night of the Oscars, highlighting the Oscar for the Career of our very Italian Ennio Morricone (who thanked the Academy in Italian, supported by an incredibile impromptu interpretor Clint Eastwood!). Let us pass to what is most dear to our hearts, the dresswear donned for the night of the Oscars. I have to say that none of the dresses worn by the divas have truly struck me. The thing that definitely drew my attention was the size of the emeralds embedded in the magnificient earrings worn by Cameron Diaz! Dresses, according to my opinion, have sinned in their "excessive" originality. Too many flounces or extreme geometric cuts. A postive note, however, goes to the fantastic red dress worn by Nicole Kidman, the sexy navy dress of Portia De Rossi and the wonderful Nina Ricci for Reese Whiterspoon

Sex and the City: The movie

After long negotiations with Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon they have confirmed their presence in the cast for the film inspired for the television series "Sex and the City", with a ratified contract of five million dollars. A friend of Kim Cattrall revealed that the English actress and the other protagonists of the series always kept in contact even after the ending of the television series "Sex and the City", but that there were divergencies of contractual nature that have restrained the taking off of the project. They were not only disagreements of an economic nature - it is said that Sarah Jessica Parker demanded a remuneration that was highly superior to that those of her colleagues, of approximately three million dollars - but also of a creative nature: the four friends, in fact, did not sign any kind of contract until they had the guarantee that the screenplay of the film was given to Michael Patrick King, who was the author, director and executive producer of the numerous episodes of the television series.

Spring\Summer 2007 Tendencies

With the spring season at our doors, it will bring with it, the the color white, indistinctly seen in clothing items and accessories, from shirts, skirts, pants and jackets to purses, shoes, belts, wristwatches, eyewear and hats. The research for the sophisticated is important, the luminescence, the lamè, the metallized fabrics such as gold, silver, bronze, stelle, next to the most precious and prestigious brocade, the comeback of patent-leather. To the antipodes for the lovers of sports activities, the gymnastic style will also cause tendency: lateral bands that are usually found on sweatsuits, sweatshirts, t-shirts with printed numbers and hoods. And then more, from mini-shiorts, to those that are more essential and sporty in denim and those that are more seductive, in satin, trimmed or nothing short of bold if in metallized fabric. The bathing suit this year will change version: good-bye bikini, it is time for bathing suits, white, black, with floral prints, with trimmed prints and necklines that are more pondered and focused on the search for elegance and decor of other times!

Barbie and Zac Posen

That Barbie was a lucky doll was always a well-reknown fact: five-star houses, sports cars, a well-built boyfriend and an unlimited and fairy tale wardrobe. And if this were not enough, she also boasts a designer dress signed by the stylist Zac Posen. The stylist, in fact, has created an extraordinary dress for her and for Ken. I never really loved playing with dolls, however, I do have to admit that Barbie was always a source of fun and gave me the first inspirations of fashion!
